FirstLight Power Enterprises

ECP created FirstLight Power in November 2006 upon the acquisition of a portfolio of 15 high-quality power plants in Massachusetts and Connecticut, representing ~1,440 MWs of predominantly hydro generating capacity. The diverse fleet owned and operated by FirstLight included Northfield Mountain, a 1,080 MW pumped hydro storage station, 12 run-of-river hydro stations, one coal-fired power plant and one oil-fired peaker. The portfolio was sold to GDF SUEZ (with FirstLight Waterbury Generation LLC) in December 2008.

GDF SUEZ Energy North America Affiliate Completes Acquisition of FirstLight Power Enterprises, Inc.

GDF SUEZ Energy North America today announced the acquisition of FirstLight Power Enterprises, Inc. (FirstLight) from Energy Capital Partners is now complete. FirstLight owns and operates a unique portfolio of 15 power generation plants – primarily pumped storage and traditional hydro facilities. It also has a state-of-the-art natural gas peaking power plant in construction.

SUEZ Energy North America Affiliate Signs Agreement to Acquire FirstLight Power Enterprises, Inc.

SUEZ Energy North America (SUEZ Energy) and FirstLight Power Enterprises, Inc. (FirstLight) today announced the signing of an agreement to acquire FirstLight from Energy Capital Partners. FirstLight owns and operates a unique portfolio of 15 power generation plants – primarily pumped storage and traditional hydro facilities – and has a state-of-the-art natural gas peaking facility in advanced development.

NE Energy Inc. Announces New Name and Headquarters Relocation

NE Energy Inc. today announced it has changed its name to FirstLight Power Resources Inc. The company, which has approximately 235 employees and 15 power generating facilities in Connecticut and Massachusetts, plans to relocate its corporate headquarters to downtown Hartford in early spring.
