SHORT HILLS, New Jersey – August 13, 2010 – Energy Capital Partners, a private equity firm focused on investing in North America’s energy infrastructure, today announced that Rahman D’Argenio has joined the firm as a Principal in the firm’s Short Hills, New Jersey office. Mr. D’Argenio will be responsible for both leading new investments as well as monitoring portfolio company activity across all of the firm’s major areas of investment focus in fossil and renewable power generation, midstream gas and electric transmission.

Mr. D’Argenio joins Energy Capital after having spent the past seven years with the First Reserve Corporation where he was most recently a Director in the firm’s Greenwich, Connecticut office. His responsibilities at First Reserve included a leadership role in power and related investments which is the core area of investing at Energy Capital.

Prior to joining First Reserve, Mr. D’Argenio was an Associate in the Energy & Utilities Group at Deutsche Bank and he holds a BA in Mathematics and Economics from the University of Pennsylvania.
